Peter T. Guy, Ph.D is the Founder and President of Optimax Human Performance Inc., which specializes in optimizing human performance. He is an expert in the field of Psychocybernetics. In this field, character assessments serve as a powerful and scientific tool. This became a foundation for the Optimax System to develop different applications of performance strategies for individuals and organizations.
Peter used the revolutionary methodology he developed to mentor students in Career Orientation. His methodology was able to describe the career and the stages of development with extremely high levels of accuracy.
He has worked as a performance consultant with numerous sports organizations, including Canada’s National Swim Team at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. From 2002-2006, Peters worked with the Canadian Skeleton Team. During his time with them, they won a gold, silver and bronze medal at the 2006 Torino Olympic Games.
Athletes and coaches (from 7 nations) who have received performance coaching and mentoring under the direction of Dr. Guy have won numerous titles and medals. Significant accomplishments include 5 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze Olympic medals, as well as over 350 medals at the World Championships, World Cups, European Championships, PAN-AM Games, PAN-Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games and CONCACAF.
He has consulted to major corporations, government agencies and entrepreneurs throughout North America. They have sought his expertise in personnel assessments, recruitment and selection, and identifying and maximizing the use of talents and competencies to achieve strategic objectives.
Peter has a Doctorate in Physical Education, with research studies in the Theory of Sports and Psychology. He previously worked as a university professor in Poland, where he lectured on methodology and theory of sports.
Peter is married with two children and resides in Toronto, Canada.
